About Odisha
Odisha is one of the Eastern States of India. The economy of Odisha is the 16th-largest state economy in India with ₹5.33 lakh crore (US$75 billion) in gross domestic product and a per capita GDP of ₹116,614 (US$1,600). Odisha ranks 23rd among Indian states in human development index.
Odisha is experiencing steady economic growth. The impressive growth in gross domestic product of the state has been reported by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Odisha’s growth rate is above the national average. The capital, Bhubaneswar, is home to hundreds of temples, notably the intricately carved Mukteshwara. The Lingaraj Temple complex, dating to the 11th century, is set around sacred Bindusagar Lake.
Odisha is rich in culture, mines and tourism sector and is experiencing steady growth in these fields over the years. A large number of tourists visit the states to observe the beauty of temples, mountains, beaches and wildlife in Odisha.
Orissa has been the tourists’ paradise right from the hoary past. In the ancient times, religious preachers and social reformers had come to Orissa to countenance the cult of Jagannath. So, in the future Odisha has major scopes and opportunities in field of Tourism.
Odisha is also known for its varieties of unique cuisines and food that are famous all over India as well as globally. Some of the prominent dishes belonging to Odisha are Chenapoda, Rasogolla, Dahibara. You can easily find these delicacies across all places within Odisha. People from various culture resides in Odisha and there is a brotherhood among all religions at this state. Odisha is a land of diversified culture and tradition. People here celebrates all festivals with grand pomp and show. Tourists in large number gets attracted towards visiting this state due to its hospitality, friendly culture of Odisha and for the scenic and beautiful places in Odisha. Many historical facts are related to Odisha and it is the land of many major historical happenings and battles. Over the years in Past , the land has been ruled by a number of kings . On the eastern coast of India, perpetually washed by the blue waters of the Bay of Bengal, lies the many splendour of State of Odisha. Endowed with a rich cultural heritage of old world charms and bestowed liberally with the bounties of nature, sometimes tender, sometimes awe-inspiring, it is a kaleidoscope of past splendours and present glamour, a fascinating state with unspoiled beaches, sprawling lakes, luxuriant forests, teeming wildlife, superb monuments, exotic handicrafts, traditional tribes, colourful fairs and festivals, scintillating music and dances.
It is a land of unforgettable memories and hidden treasures. Many parts of this fascinating land remain relatively unexplored.
Experience of Internship
I am a part of a 13-member internship team working to promote Australia India bilateral business, educational, sports, cultural and spiritual ties.
I am extremely thankful to Deepak Vinayak OAM JP Sir and Kamala Kanta Dash Sir for giving such an opportunity and considering me to work for a great cause .I am really grateful to have an active participation and to involve in Australia -India Initiative and also getting more knowledge about the opportunities of Australia India Collaborations and Partnership under different heads and field of concerns .The digital platform helped me to have a broad concept about many vital topics of discussions.
I am glad that I was able to contribute to this great cause along with my team members. Along with this I express my gratitude to all who have extra efforts to make the targets more successful and setting examples for others to contribute and work more enthusiastically.
I am also thankful that Sri Sri University provided me the right platform to sharpen my knowledge and skill sets. Through this internship I also got the opportunity to meet Dr.Tien Kieu Sir ,Hon’ble MP from Australia and Mr. Sujeet Kumar Sir ,Hon’ble MP from India in the felicitation ceremony .
Looking forward for more opportunities to work with this entire team again.
